Egg Donors

To be an Egg Donor…

Becoming an egg donor is a meaningful opportunity to help someone build the family they’ve dreamed of. From your first questions through every step of the journey, our experienced team provides personalized guidance, compassionate support, and professional care—so you always feel informed, respected, and valued.

Could Egg Donation Be Right for You?

Egg donors are typically healthy women between the ages 21–34 who are ready to make a meaningful commitment. While every candidate is evaluated individually, you may be a good fit if you:

- Have regular menstrual cycles and meet the fertility clinic’s health guidelines

- Are a non-smoker and do not use recreational drugs

- Can provide detailed personal and family medical histories

- Are willing to complete medical, genetic, infectious-disease, and psychological screening

- Can follow a short medication and monitoring schedule

- Have the flexibility to attend appointments and travel when required

- Are dependable, communicative, and fully committed to the process

Certain medications, health conditions, recent travel, tattoos, piercings, or other risk factors may affect timing or eligibility. Our team will review your circumstances confidentially and guide you through every step.

Understanding Your Compensation

First-time donors typically request compensation beginning at $8,000, with the final amount determined by the donor and agreed upon before the cycle begins. Experienced donors may request increased compensation for future cycles.

Compensation is provided per completed cycle—never according to the number or quality of eggs retrieved. Your physician will determine when it is medically appropriate to begin another donation cycle.

If travel is required, approved transportation, accommodations, meals, and other donation-related expenses are arranged or covered separately by the intended parents. Travel may include a brief initial visit and approximately 7–10 days near the fertility clinic toward the end of your cycle.

The Egg Donor Experience

Every donation journey is unique, but you’ll never navigate it alone. From matching through recovery, your donor coordinator and fertility care team will keep you informed, prepared, and supported.

Matching & Legal Agreements

Once you’re matched with intended parents, the legal and financial arrangements are finalized before treatment begins. Approved donation-related expenses are typically covered by the intended parents according to your agreement.

Medical & Wellness Screening

You’ll complete a fertility consultation and personalized screening, which may include bloodwork, an ultrasound, infectious-disease testing, genetic carrier screening, and a conversation with a mental health professional experienced in third-party reproduction. These steps protect your well-being and help you make a fully informed decision.

Cycle Planning

After medical clearance, your nurse creates a personalized treatment calendar. Your protocol may include medication to coordinate your cycle, followed by injectable fertility medications—typically taken for approximately 10–14 days. Your care team will teach you how to administer each medication and remain available for questions.

Monitoring

During stimulation, you’ll attend a series of bloodwork and ultrasound appointments so your physician can monitor your response and determine the safest timing for retrieval. Some appointments may be completed locally, while others may require travel. Your clinic will also provide individualized guidance about exercise, sexual activity, medications, and other precautions.

Egg Retrieval

Egg retrieval is a brief outpatient procedure performed under sedation or anesthesia. You’ll need a responsible adult to accompany you and remain with you after the procedure. If travel is required, your coordinator will help to organize the approved arrangements.

 Recovery & Follow-Up

Recovery is different for everyone. Mild bloating, cramping, or fatigue may occur, and many donors return to routine activities within a few days. Your medical team will provide aftercare instructions, explain which symptoms require attention, and remain available throughout your recovery.

The complete journey often spans several weeks to a few months, depending on screening, scheduling, and your individualized treatment plan. At every stage, our priority is your health, comfort, and confidence.

How Does Compensation Work?

Your compensation recognizes the time, commitment, and physical demands involved in the egg donation process. The full amount and payment schedule will be clearly outlined in your agreement before your cycle begins.

- First-time donor compensation is based on the agreed-upon fee

- Experienced donors may qualify for increased compensation in future cycles

- Approved travel and donation-related expenses are covered separately

- Additional support or benefits may be available depending on the match

- Eligible donors may complete more than one cycle, with a recommended lifetime maximum of six complete cycles.

*Compensation is never based on the number or quality of eggs retrieved. Every future donation requires new medical approval, with your health and well-being always taking priority.*
